A great boot room should have lots of storage space for shoes and boots, coats and hanging items and a spot to sit and get ready for the day. This simple combination of modular boot room units does this perfectly and in style. With a full height shelved space, providing plenty of room numerous shoes and boots, a charming wall hung coat hook with wooden peg style hooks with the added benefit of a shelf above and an exquisitely designed bench that also serves as storage for boots below.
All of these units can be made to any size, please see www.nestatnumber20.com All units are painted in any colour from the Farrow and Ball range. If this configuration of units doesn’t suit your requirements then the beauty of the modular design becomes evident, you can choose any of these units to make one run as they all screw together and can create a gorgeous fitted look. Our modular range follows the same new beautiful stepped design of cornice and plinth, the benefit of this is that the units can be stacked on top of each other as well as side to side and the design will work seamlessly.
Please note, the modular units need to sit on a flat level floor. We don’t offer a fitting service.

How do I style a bookcase in my home?
Styling a bookcase well is less about following rules and more about balancing practicality with personality. Start by organising your books in a way that makes sense to you, this could be by colour, genre, height or author, then use the remaining shelf space to introduce a few carefully chosen objects, such as: ceramics, framed prints, small plants or candles all work well alongside books without overcrowding the shelves. Leaving some negative space is worth considering too, shelves packed from edge to edge can feel visually heavy, whereas a little breathing room draws the eye to the things you want to show off. If you have a tall bookcase with generous vertical height, you have plenty of room to layer objects at different scales, a tall vase next to a stack of paperbacks, for instance, creates natural variety without looking contrived. The bookcase itself does a great deal of the work. A painted finish in a warm or neutral tone will anchor a room without dominating it, making it easier to refresh surrounding decor over time without needing to change the furniture.
Are Nest at Number 20 bookcases suitable for rooms other than a home library?
Absolutely, while bookcases are an obvious fit for a home library or study, they are equally at home in a living room, hallway, bedroom or even a kitchen, anywhere you need structured storage with a considered look. In a living room, a modular bookcase can replace a standalone display unit and offer far more flexibility. In a hallway, a narrower painted bookcase provides a practical spot for everyday items whilst adding character to what is often an overlooked space. Bedrooms benefit from a bookcase positioned beside a bed or in an alcove, keeping reading material close to hand without the need for bulky furniture. The key is choosing the right size and finish for the room. Nest at Number 20’s range covers a variety of sizes and painted colour options, so it is straightforward to find something that fits both the physical space and the existing decor. If you are unsure which style suits your room best, the team is happy to help you work through the options before you commit.
