Designed to bring practical storage and timeless style into the bedroom, this modular single wardrobe offers a beautifully balanced combination of hanging space and generous drawer storage. Thoughtfully designed to make everyday organisation feel effortless, it provides a smart and versatile solution for keeping clothing and essentials neatly stored away.
The upper wardrobe section offers ample space for hanging garments, while the spacious drawers below are ideal for folded clothing, accessories or everyday items, helping to keep everything organised and easy to access. With clean lines and understated detailing, this piece blends seamlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors.
Whether used as a standalone feature or paired with other modular pieces, this wardrobe unit is designed to maximise storage while maintaining a calm and refined look within the bedroom.
All of these units can be made to any size, and are painted in any colour from the Farrow and Ball range. If this configuration of units doesn’t suit your requirements then the beauty of the modular design becomes evident, you can choose any of these units to make one run as they all screw together and can create a gorgeous fitted look. Our modular range follows the same new beautiful stepped design of cornice and plinth, the benefit of this is that the units can be stacked on top of each other as well as side to side and the design will work seamlessly.
Please note, the modular units need to sit on a flat level floor. We don’t offer a fitting service.

Are solid wood wardrobes a worthwhile long-term investment compared to flat-pack furniture?
The difference becomes clear over time rather than at the point of purchase. Flat pack furniture, typically made from MDF or particleboard with a laminate veneer, is designed to be affordable and accessible but the materials have a finite lifespan. Hinges work loose; panels swell with moisture and surfaces scratch more readily than solid timber. A solid wood wardrobe, built using proper joinery, behaves quite differently. The structure remains stable, repairs are straightforward, and the piece can be refinished or repainted rather than replaced. There is also a practical resale consideration: well made, solid wood furniture retains value, whereas flat pack pieces have none once assembled. For a bedroom fixture you expect to use daily for the next twenty or thirty years, the cost per year of a quality handmade wardrobe compares very favourably with replacing cheaper alternatives every five to seven years.
Can the internal layout of a wardrobe be customised to suit how I organise my clothing?
Most people find that the internal configuration of a wardrobe matters just as much as its external dimensions. A single long hanging rail works well for dresses and suits, but it wastes the lower half of the space for anyone whose wardrobe is largely made up of folded items, shoes or accessories. Getting the layout right from the outset means thinking practically about what you own and how you prefer to access it. With a bespoke wardrobe, the internal arrangement is entirely your decision. Double hanging rails make the most of vertical space for shorter garments. Deeper shelves accommodate folded jumpers and jeans without toppling. Dedicated shoe storage, whether angled shelves, pull-out racks or a simple stepped arrangement keeps footwear visible and accessible rather than piled at the bottom of a rail. Drawers built into the base remove the need for a separate chest of drawers altogether, which can free up meaningful floor space in a smaller bedroom. The key is to map out your storage needs before settling on a design. A well-planned interior means you are not adapting your habits to suit the wardrobe, the wardrobe works around you.
